David Oettinger, CPA, P.A. was formed in 1995 by David Oettinger, Jr. to provide accounting services to his clients and others in Eastern North Carolina. The firm provides traditional accounting services - preparation of financial statements, tax returns, tax planning and bookkeeping. The firm specializes in transactional accounting - buying and selling businesses, estate planning, estate administration and other business services as needed.

David Oettinger, CPA, P.A. was founded in 1995 by David Oettinger, Jr. David is a native of Wilson, North Carolina and currently resides in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. He received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with honors from North Carolina State University. He earned a law degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Masters in Taxation from New York University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, North Carolina State Bar and other professional organizations.

Sonya Keel, CPA
Certified Public Accountant
Sonya G. Keel joined Oettinger & Company, CPA, P.A. in 2007. She is a native of Williamston, North Carolina and currently resides in Nashville, North Carolina. Sonya graduated from East Carolina University with a B.S. degree in Accounting. She has over twenty years experience in both public accounting and private industry accounting.

Shalinee Prasada, CPA
Certified Public Accountant
Shalinee Prasada joined David Oettinger, CPA, P.A. in 2005 and became a licensed Certified Public Accountant in 2007. Shalinee is a native of Bhagalpur, India and currently resides in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. She received a B.S. degree in Economics from San Diego State University and received a M.S. degree in Accounting with tax concentration from East Carolina University. She provides tax services for individuals, businesses, estates and trusts.
